How To Calculate UTME & Post UTME Scores To Get Unilag Post UTME Aggregate Score

Note: The explanation below is the old way of calculating it. There is a new way now ever since the cancelation of the post Utme. Click…. New way to calculate Unilag Utme aggregate score to check out the new way

Guys, here is a quick one. Unilag normally makes use of your jamb score and post utme score to get your final aggregate score. It is this aggregate score that will be measured against cut off marks for individual courses.

if your aggregate score is up to the merit cut off mark or catchment cut off mark(if you are from catchment areas) of your chosen course, then you are in for the admmission. if you dont know much about merit/catchment cut off marks in unilag admission process, please click Unilag Cut off Marks explained to read details.
In this post i will show you the formular used in calculating the aggregate score.

How To Calculate Unilag Post UTME Aggregate Score;
Utme score/8(Utme score divided by eight) + Post UTME Score/2(post utme score divided by 2)

= Aggregate Score.

for example;

if UTME score = 290
Post UTME score = 70

aggregate = 290/8 + 70/2

aggregate = 36.25 + 35
aggregate = 71.25%

Don’t get confused, I quite understand that the post utme questions is 40. You might want to ask, how then is it possible for me to score 70/100 in post utme.

This is the majic; whatever you score in post utme over 40 will be rounded up to 100, that is it will rounded up to percentage. Let’s say for example you score 20/40. It will be the same as 20/40 multiply by 100/1 which is equal to 50/100.

What ever is gotten over 100 is what will be divided by 2 to get your final post utme score before combining to get the aggregate as described above.

Your aggregate score will be measured against the cut off mark of your chosen course.
The cut off marks for all courses will be published weeks after the post utme exams.
