Unilag Direct Entry Admission Into Full Time Programme, What You Need To Know

Unilag direct entry admission into its full time Programme is quite different from that of other schools and if you intend to apply to Unilag via direct entry it is important you take not of this vital information.
Unilag does not accept OND or HND for direct entry into all programmes but they do for just few of its courses. Unilag accepts OND/HND(Distiction only) for engineering courses and also course in the faculty of environmental sciences(Architecture, EstateManagement, Urban & Regional Planning, Building Tech & Quantitity Surveying)…..
As an OND/HND holder the require grade to be eligible for direct entry admission into the department listed above is a distinction although Building Tech alone do accept at least upper credit.
The only acceptable qualification for direct entry into the faculty of sciences & Social sciences in Unilag is Unilag Diploma(Jupeb) & Cambridge Alevel result. Example of courses offered in the faculty of sciences are Maths, Biochemistry, physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Cell Biology & Genetics, Geology, Geophysics, Marine Biology, etc.
Example of courses offered in the faculty of Social Sciences are Mass Communication(For Mass Comm Unilag accepts its own diploma only), Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Social Work & Geography.
For Medicine & Pharmacy, Unilag do accepts Unilag Diploma(Jupeb), Cambridge Alevel & First degree cert( minimum of second class upper division).
Unilag do accepts Unilag Diploma(Jupeb) & Cambriged Alevel for other medical related courses like physiology, radiography, Dentistry, etc.
Faculty of law accepts same as in Medicine & Pharmacy Above.
Unilag do accepts HND/OND(distinction) for creative art. Also Unilag diploma & Cambridge Alevel is also accepted for this course.
LASU Diploma in communication art is accepted for linguistics in Unilag.
Faculty of education accepts Unilag diploma, Cambridge Alevel & NCE for direct entry into its programmes.

In summary: Basically, you can use Unilag diploma(Jupeb) & Cambridge Alevel to apply for any of the courses Offered in Unilag. Direct entry Candidates must also fulfill Unilag Olevel requirement for their chosen course.
Application for direct entry into Unilag is via Jamb Direct entry application form. Unilag does not sell this form. It is the sole responsibility of jamb office.

Olevel requirement for building tech is; Five O/L credits in English Language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and any One of Geography, Building Construction, Land Surveying, Technical Drawing and Economics.
At least credit pass in physics is compulsory for building tech

I finished from Unilag (Mass Comm.) with a 2.2 and I want to go in for Law. Initially was thinking of the Law part-time because of my work but I was told that has been stopped years ago.
Kindly confirm if the above is true and advise on how or what I can do to still get to study Law in no time.

Unilag does not offer part-time law Programme anymore. You may still wanna give law a trial via direct entry with your 2:2 mass comm. hopefully, you might be lucky as a product of Unilag.

Unilag does not accept ND or HND for sciences. They do accept only for engineering and environmental sciences

Unilag does not sell Direct entry form. Jamb does and 2016/2017 application form is on sale right now.
Get the form from jamb office and apply and put in Unilag along with your credentials.

Yeah, Unilag does not sell forms for direct entry. Visit jamb office to get the jamb direct entry form.
Mr Timothy,u once told me dat further mathematics is a must for both electrical/electronics engr. and computer science for direct entry applicants.If i sit for another GCE Exam because of further maths but my HND result was dated 2007.Would they recognised it?I have distinction at my HND result.
Even if your HND is dated back to 1989 they will accept it. It doesn’t expire. Just make sure you have the right Olevel requirement

Yeah you can purchased the form and put it awaiting result. That’s if you are sure you result will be out before July ending for submission in Unilag and jamb office.
