Last Week Of July 2016 & Unilag Still Silent On 2016/2017 Post Utme
Who do we blame it on? Maybe the new jamb admission policy. For a school like Unilag I know it will be difficult for them to admit students without post Utme. How do they intend to do that? How will they effectively screen the thousands of prospective students.
I have been studying admission processes in Unilag for years now and I have a strong feeling that if Unilag eventually decides to follow the new jamb rules of admission then it will become more tougher for students to gain admission into the school.
This month of July will end and if care is not taken Unilag will still be silent about the admission process for this year.

Uncle Tim. I hope you reply this time around, i read a news update i saw online and they said jamb has stopped uploading posted students online that they now send it directly to the school, then the school would shortlist candidates using the guideline and send it back to them and can then release their admission list…please how true is this?…whats your own update?…pls reply asap….thanks

Thanks bros Tim for the information. The truth is that Unilag is own by Fed Govt of Nigeria and there is no other admission policy they can adopt other than the policy prescribed by the govt. This policy gives the Hausa the opportunity to study in Unilag, Ibo to go to Sokoto, Yoruba to Biro University if they so desire by the 45% & 20% assigned to Merit and educationally disadvantage pple. The era of Yoruba occupying over 95% in Unilag, Ibos at Nnsuka, Hausa at ABU Zaria is over. JAMB has posted students to various schools and nothing unilag can do about it.
Great universities like OAU Ife, UNN, Uniben etc are already screening their students.

There is an intentional act by certain groups in this country to make education and its sector to become vary poor as this will hep them out the gap in education in the geopolitical zone is desired to be breach by all means necessary. Timothy,I think federal government is somehow making sense,let’s check on other africa countries precisely west africa is it like this?,we make things hard for ourselves in this country all because to make money,I guess if there should be jamb let it be bt why the screening after jamb which means schools don’t trust jamb, and if its only school screening we should follow let’s erase jamb and even we bring less money spending.pls unilag help do! This one Unilag is stalling,I hope they bring out something reasonable…i’m hoping that before the end of this week there will bring out their screening details and it will favour us#beingoptimistic#
As for me I think jamb is confused they are jst looking for a way to channel money to their own pockets I will be very dissappointed if federal government allows jamb to conduct the admission process this year a board that could not conduct a credible examination for admission seekers should nt be allowed to conduct such. Wat I expect federal government to do is to reduce the price at which these schools sell post utme forms to at least N 1000 so dat the poor can afford it.
Well, Any where Nigeria want to take us to, let them take us to, but what i surely know is that this year admission will never pass me as far as Jesus Christ resurrected from death.

I think every one waiting for Unilag to say something should be wise. If you’ve been posted, just get the necessary documents ready. If you’ve not been posted, still get your documents ready. Unilag always wants to make things difficult for students in the sense that they may decide the date for screening but because we’ve been busy waiting for news and not getting these documents many would lose it.

No matter what, i don’t see Unilag conducting post UTME examination for the prospective students. The school can never be bigger than the federal govenment that owns it. The waiting game will soon be over!

unilag post utme forms on sale 3rd of august to 24th believe it or not it is the fact i read from vanguard website u must score 200 and above chose unilag as first choice with 5 credits at one sitting or with awaiting result i advice aspirants to start preparations asap welcome to naija the land of surprises thank u bro tim i followed ur advice i didnt allow speculations to halt my preparation.

Good morning Tim, pls if a student chooses UNILAG as his or her first choice and jamb sendhl his or her name to a private university. Can such student still apply to UNILAG or such student will forfeited his admission because he cannot afford to pay fees of private university.
