New Way To Calculate Unilag Aggregate Score For Utme Prospective Undergraduates As From 2017
I have been receiving lot of messages and calls asking about the new way to calculate Unilag aggregate score for Undergraduate Admission via Utme.
For the 2017/2018 admission season the University of Lagos, calculates aggregate scores of applicants by weighting 20% to O-Level results, 50% to the UTME score, and 30% to the post UTME score and they will also use same for 2018/2019 academic session.
That’s your Jamb Utme score divided by 8(50%) + Your Post Utme score(30%) + 5 Important Olevel Combos(20%).
That’s altogether 50% + 30% + 20% = 100%.
When you divide your Jamb score by 8 what did you get?
What was your score in the post Utme Test(it was graded over 30)
and the remaining 20% is from your olevel combos.
In this system of scoring, Olevel will be calculated using this formulas:
A1 = 4.0 points; B2 = 3.6 points; B3 = 3.2 points; C4 = 2.8 points; C5 = 2.4 points; C6 = 2.0 points.
Grades must be obtained at ONE SITTING.
Note: Candidates must at least score 12 and above in post Utme to be considered for admission even if you score 300plus in Jamb Utme.

sorry but i want to know this new system of admission….is it more favourable than the last one? cos i see no difference if unilag wants 150 students and the 151st candidate passed with maybe 76% is he/she gonna be considered?
In my own opinion this new system makes things much more complicated
