Registration & Clearance Procedures For Those On Merit Admission List For 2021/2022 Unilag Postgraduate - Unilag Admission Guide

Please note that the registration procedures below is for those on Recommended admission status or Those That already saw their names on the Merit Admission List.

There will be another schedule when the supplementary list comes out for those that will be on the supplementary list.

  1. Click on ‘Student Login’ link at http://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng
  2. Login with your Application No as Matric No and your Surname (in lowercase) as your password. You will be required to change your password after login.
  3. Update your Biodata as appropriate
  4. From the dashboard, click on ‘Upload Documents’ and upload the following Original documents in colour:
    • Degree Certificate
    • All Academic Transcripts must reach the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies on or before the beginning of registration/screening exercise.
    • NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Certificate
    • Other Relevant Degree Certificate (If applicable)
    • Professional Certificate (If Applicable)
    • Call to Bar Certificate (LLM Candidates Only)
    • O’Level Result Certificate
    • Birth Certificate
    • Evidence of change of name for female only (marriage certificate/newspaper advert)
  5. From the dashboard, click on ‘Appointment’ to schedule a date for screening.
  6. Proceed to the School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, physically on the scheduled date and time for screening (This stage is not allowed by proxy; Candidates must obey Covid-19 Protocols; List of Documents required ).
  7. At the screening venue, pick a Prospectus for a non-refundable fee of N10,000.
  8. Upon successful completion of screening, commence Registration by generating bill online (on REMITA) and proceed to make payment either online or at any commercial bank in Nigeria. (Note that Obligatory and Tuition Fees are required before online Registration; Payment of Tuition Fee on Installment is allowable for Part-Time Candidates only
  9. Complete course registration form Online.
  10. Print two (2) copies each of Course Form, Acceptance Form, Biodata, Admission Letter, Payment Advice and Receipts.
  11. Sign Course Forms with Head of Department and University Bursar in that order.
  12. Graduates of Universities Outside Nigeria must provide the following in addition to the above (Admission Letter of First Degree, Transcript, Certificate & Travelling Documents during the period of study).

Please Note: If the steps above are too complicated for you to go through, any of those cafe inside Unilag can help you with uploads. But it’s quite easy to go through.

Checklist of Documents Required For Screening and clearance

  • Original credentials (for sighting)
  • Screening Schedule /Appointment Letter
  • Admission Letter
  • Receipt for Prospectus
  • Biodata Form
  • Degree Certificate or Transcript (unsealed Transcript is unacceptable)
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
  • Birth Certificate
  • Other Relevant Degree Certificates (If applicable)
  • Professional Certificate (If Applicable)
  • Call to Bar Certificate (LLM Candidates Only)
  • O’Level Result (MBA Candidates Only)
  • Evidence of change of name for female only (with marriage certificate/newspaper advert)

Venue: School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, Yaba, Lagos.

Duration of Screening: 29th – 30th December, 2021 and 4th – 8th January, 2022.

Time: 9am – 3pm daily

NOTE:

  • All new students MUST provide their original credentials for sighting at the point of screening

  3. On my dashboard, the only available dates are for 29th and 30th of December. I can’t see any for the 4th till the 8th of december. Is that a mistake from your part or its from them? Also, the fees for full time Masters in Business Administration could be posted

  4. I checked the portal to confirm the amount to be paid for tuition fee but there was no information.

    Can you please post the full tuition fee for MBA program,part time and for other programmes, so that people will benefit from it.

    If yes, I know payment can be done installmentally for Part time only . What amount is accepted by the school if payment will be done in instalments ?

    When is the session starting next year?

      1. From our dashboard are we to upload our original certificate and no need to forward transcript to spgs. Or all transcript must be forwarded to spgs despite upload of original certificate on our dashboard

        You mentioned o level certificate for only MBA students only. What do you mean by that? Is it not applicable for postgraduate students? Please explain.

        For the reference letter, what should be the content? Should it be printed on plain paper or letter headed paper?

  8. Please is it compulsory to have reference letter uploaded. I have done screening since last week Wednesday. I have not been able to generate payment advice. I lately understand that I did not click submit on my portal to submit the already uploaded documents, which I have done now. Please your response is highly valued.
